How it works
Permanent Jewelry is applied with a welding machine which is specifically created for fragile metals. After the client has been sized for the appropriate amount of slack, the process is completed by bonding the jewelry with a mini weld. Replacing the need for a clasp (clasp-less jewelry).
1. Make an Appointment
Booking an appointment is recommended!
2. Select Your Chain + Charm
Choose your favorite chain style from a selection of 14k Solid Gold, Gold-Filled or Sterling Silver. Each jewelry piece is tailor fitted to your specific measurements and can be customized by adding charms that tell your story and suit your style.
3. Get Sized & Welded
Once you select your chain and any add-ons, I'll customize the fit of your jewelry and weld it on. The welding process is quick and painless!
FAQs
Does it hurt?
Not at all! The spark that is generated during this process is NOT of high temperature, you won't feel a thing while I'm working with the metal. There is absolutely no risk, the machine will only react to metal. Even if your skin comes into contact with the weld point, the electrode will not generate a spark.
The chains applied during this process are thin enough to last but not thick enough to cause harm to the wearer in the event that it becomes caught on an object. If the jewelry needs to be removed for any reason, simply snip with a pair of scissors. The jewelry can always be re-welded. TSA - Travelers are permitted to wear real jewelry through airport security without issue. SURGERY & MRI - There are situations where the jewelry may need to be removed for a medical procedure or MRI. In this event, the jewelry can be re-welded as long as it is properly removed.
Can it be removed?
While Permanent Jewelry will stand the test of time and is designed for everyday wear, it is not invincible. It is still FINE jewelry.
How long does it last?
What if it breaks?
If for some reason the weld or chain broke and you still have the jewelry, I do offer 2 weeks complimentary re-welds for any jewelry purchased at Adore You Studio.
